A pair of rare tea glass holders, made by Kayserzinn in 1902-4, designer: Hugo Leven,
marked Kayserzinn 4519 in a circular stamp.
In 1862 the Dusseldorf based Kayser family (J.P. Kayser & Sohn were active until 1925), opened a new factory,
 where they manufactured designer's items using a special lead-free alloy of tin and silver.
At the world exhibitions in Paris (1900), Turin (1902), Dusseldorf and St.Louis (1904),
the company enjoyed great success with its "Kayserzinn" ("Kayser pewter").
Their main designer and artistic director was Hugo LEVEN (1874-1956)
